Running Lucky!

Sometimes you can't pass up the opportunity to wake up early and get a run in. Those mornings are definitely easier when you have some nice weather and are running with 3,000+ other people decked out in green gear on St. Patrick's Day!This year marked the 35th year for the Seattle St. Pat's Dash and this was my 7th time running this race. The race has changed its course (along with ever-changing Seattle landscape) a lot since the first time I had run this race, but it is always a fun run I look forward to doing every year! (even that one year when it legitimately snowed the day of the run...)My run this time around was a personal best for me with my fastest ever recorded 5k time!!! (*cue celebration*) It probably helped that the course this year didn't have as aggressive of a finish as it has had in years past but I have also been putting in work at the gym and I can't wait to run outside more once there's more sunshine around. Plus, these "run lucky" kicks might have pulled some luck my way along this run :)

Sham-rocked this run with these fun kicks and a running buddy.
