Woof, woof! 🐾 Dawg Dash 2019

The Dawg Dash was a completely purple and cute doggo filled fun run with 10k and 5k options. This race supported the University of Washington Alumni Association to help fund student scholarships.The 5k race started at 9:30am on Sunday, October 13th which was nice to have a fun run start a little bit later in the morning (especially since I had been to a concert the night before). The course for the 5k was pretty flat and stayed mostly within the University of Washington campus. My favorite part of the course was that when you ran past the fountain there were people dressed up like a T-Rex with signs supporting the re-opening of the Burke Museum. It added some unexpected fun and excitement to the course as I was rounding out that corner. But overall, the course was very nice and wide since it was around a college campus, on campus roads so that there was lots of space for runners to spread out and run at their own pace.Though I am not a Husky (#golutes) I enjoyed this fun run. The course was enjoyable and flat (something that is hard to come by in Seattle) and everyone that was out running the 5k seemed to be out to have a good time and enjoy a Sunday morning run with other decked out in purple.  💜
