Tastes of T-Mobile Park - Lil' Woody's Breakfast Special
As I was scrolling through my Twitter feed on August 25th, I uncovered something so exciting. T-Mobile Park Eats tweeted about a breakfast sandwich being available at Lil' Woody's at the ballpark. This breakfast sandwich was announced as having 2 eggs with Hills Bacon, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, a hash brown patty, and a smear of mayo on a toasted bun. I was not able to make it to the ballpark that day to get this sandwich and was so disappointed. I saw it pop up again in my Twitter feed again on September 15th and that was another day that I was not able to make it to a ballgame. But at this point, I realized there was a trend about how @TMobileParkEats was posting about this sandwich. They were posting about it ahead of Sunday day games at the ballpark. And that meant I had one last opportunity to get the sandwich, which was on Sunday, September 29th - the last game of the season - and I got it.
I had really high expectations for this breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint. I already loved Lil' Woody's at the ballpark and I love a great breakfast sandwich so this was both of those things together and it was absolute perfection.
The sandwich came hot off the griddle for me and when I brought it over to a railing in the 'Pen to enjoy it before the baseball game started the couple standing next to me asked what it was that I had and got inspired by it and got a couple for themselves. But back to the sandwich itself - it was hot and fresh and a bit of a greasy hot mess, but it was totally the right level of being a hot mess to serve for a Sunday afternoon day game at the ballpark. All the ingredients were tasty and it filled you up and with the right level of greasy-ness. It was great to have before the start of the game if you are looking for something substantial before enjoying a beer at the ballpark.
The only disappointing thing about this offering at Lil' Woody's was how late it came into the season at the ballpark. I know not that many people had the opportunity to try it and I loved it soooooo much that it better come back for next season so more people to try it out (and so I can have it again and again and again😀).
